Turtle Lake-Mercer FFA attends District Leadership

On Oct. 4, nineteen Turtle Lake- Mercer Future Farmers of America (FFA) members, along with their advisor, Mr. Paul Buchholz, traveled to Minot to attend the District 2 Leadership Conference. It was a very exciting and eventful day for all who attended.
District Leadership Conference is filled with Leadership Development Events, or LDEs, where student showcase their leadership and public speaking skills. A variety of contests take place
throughout the day.
The first event of the day to take place was Demonstration. Troy Bergquist showcased roping skills and cattle management practices utilizing a rope and roping dummy. He received a Silver
ribbon.
