Trick or Treat Down ‘Main’ Street

Some people are wondering if there will be much of a Halloween this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Underwood Civic Club is doing what it can to keep the holiday festive, deciding at their Wednesday meeting to
put on the inaugural “Trick Or Treat Down Main Street.”
The event is set for Friday, Oct. 30 and is in lieu of the annual chili/soup cook-off and costume contest the civic club usually puts on, as business owners didn’t feel comfortable holding the event which have brought so many people into their businesses at the same time.
Trick or Treat Down Main Street isn’t actually down MAIN St. in Underwood – it will be going down Lincoln Ave., which is Underwood’s main business dist rict downtown. Businesses are signing up to take up locations on the sidewalk along “Main,” from American Bank Center to the Comet Kids Childcare building.
