Tomlinsons celebrate real white wedding

Newlywed Cassie (Hoffman) Tomlinson knew for more than a week that the forecast for her Oct. 19 wedding didn’t look very pleasant. And it turned out the forecast of near blizzard conditions for much of the state turned out to be true, stranding several of her wedding party members in Carrington, others not even being able to venture out onto the road.
But as she looked back on her Saturday nuptials on Monday, the white wedding she and her husband Marcus celebrated was perfect.
“It worked out in the end – we had a fun time,” she said with a smile. “It’s over, and it’s all good.
“We made a lot of memories,” she added with a laugh.
She and Marcus never considered postponing the ceremony to a different weekend – they just wanted to make sure none of their guests were putting themselves in danger by being on the roads when no travel was advised.
“He said ‘you’ve worked way too hard on this to postpone it’,” said Cassie.
