Three Minot men arrested on felony theft from Falkirk mine
Three men from Minot have been charged in connection with copper theft from Falkirk Mining Company, located in rural Underwood.
Byron Backman, Timothy Poitra and Corey Payne were arrested Jan. 9 in connection with theft from the Falkirk mine.
Charges
Backman is being charged with conspiracy to commit criminal mischief (class B felony), conspiracy to commit theft of property (class B felony), driving while license suspended – second offense (class B misdemeanor) and violation of registration provisions (class B misdemeanor).
Poitra is being charged with conspiracy to commit criminal mischief (class B felony), conspiracy to commit theft of property (class B felony) and being in possess of drug paraphernalia – methamphetamine second offense (class C felony).
Payne is being charged with conspiracy to commit criminal mischief (class B felony) and conspiracy to commit theft of property (class B felony).
