There’s one thing Dr. Andrea Schlafmann won’t be doing at her North County Vet Clinic.
The bookkeeping.
After getting close to the actual opening date and after having done loads of paperwork to actually get her new veterinary clinic open just outside of Turtle Lake, even though she had told herself she was “going to do it all,” Schlafmann, who goes by Dr. Andrea, decided she could let someone else handle the bookkeeping.
“I’m going to hire an accountant,” she said with a smile Friday afternoon as she worked on putting the finishing touches on the clinic she was set to open for business Monday.
The clinic, located in the former Ray Herr Construction building just west of the city limits of Turtle Lake, is open and seeing patients – large and small.
While she was still working on getting the large-animal area completely set up (that was a weekend project), the small-animal exam room was ready for patients, the pharmacy stocked with the necessary medications she might need.
