Students today, leaders tomorrow

Local students from Underwood and Washburn competed in the annual Entrepreneur Expo, sponsored by McLean County and Bravera Bank, March 2nd in Underwood.
Students created businesses from “concept to completion” in preparation for the expo. Judged by local business owners for cash awards, everything from brand identity to product quality and customer experience were considered among the teams of students participating.
Teacher Julie Driessen has overseen the Entrepreneur Expo for many years (decades in fact). She says the program has grown and continues to be a popular competition among students.
