Sodas and Things in downtown Underwood has a new look.
The shop, which is a combination of a drug store, ice cream shop and gift shop, was able to get its facelift and interior renovation with the help of some funding through the Underwood Area Economic Development’s Main Street Project grant.
"It’s an excellent program," said Jane Rademacher, manager of Sodas and Things.
"That’s paying for about half of the project, which will be a big help."
The project included not only a facelift for the front, with new siding and smaller windows on both sides of the storefront, but an expanded show area inside, which Rademacher is anxious to fill with merchandise.
"I think over on this side we’ll maybe put more gardening things so that people can get a better look at them," she said. "And on the other side, we’ll be able to have a nice, big Christmas tree.
