See the Smithsonian exhibit before it’s gone

The Smithsonian exhibit in Washburn is about to be history. So, if you haven’t visited yet, now is the time to spend some time with "Journey Stories." The exhibit is part of the Smithsonian Institution’s Museum on Main Street, a cultural project that serves small town museums and residents of rural America. "Journey Stories" has been on display in Washburn since Dec. 7, 2009, and will close forever after this Saturday’s farewell luncheon. Humanities Scholar Clay Jenkinson will be the featured speaker, and event organizer Milissa Price thinks it is worth coming out in the cold for. "Clay is renowned for his journey stories and the many different characters that he portrays," she said.
