Underwood’s School Board met on Nov. 20 to address a relatively short agenda, which lasted just under one hour. Superintendent Dale Ekstrom said the general fund’s bottom line continues to improve and to assist in that matter, the building committee is looking at some energy efficient changes. The committee is looking into to replacing and closing off some windows in the high school section of the building, as well as replacing the school’s heating system. Ekstrom said plans are in the preliminary stages and not ready for board review at this time. The board discussed at length buying a new computer server before approving the purchase. Ekstrom said the new server will allow NWEA testing of the elementary grades on the computer.
