Schell capping 31+ years as auditor

If people don’t like the color of the Underwood water tower, says Diane Schell, they can blame her.
After all, she’s the one who picked the color the last time it was painted, back in 1990. As the new city auditor, she was given the opportunity to pick the color of the water tower, and she stuck with a traditional aqua color for the tower.
It may need a new paint job soon, but Schell probably won’t be the one who gets to pick the color, as at the end of the month she is retiring from the city auditor position she has held for the past 31 years and nine months.
