Sannes family at home in funeral home

Helping a family say goodbye to a loved one takes a personal, caring touch that’s not easily found in every person. As a sophomore in high school, a young Paul Sannes found that composure and comfort in a local funeral director, who directed his father’s funeral.
“I was impressed with the way he handled the funeral,” Sannes said.
From that point on he knew that a life as a small town funeral director could be very fulfilling. He’s happy to be able to serve that need as the newest addition to the Goetz Funeral Home of Washburn, Underwood and Turtle Lake. The Sannes family is living in the home attached to the funeral home.
Sannes graduated from Minot High School in 1987 and attended college at Minot State for three years before attending college at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis for mortuary science. Since that time, he’s been honing his skills as a funeral director to make sure when the difficult time arises he’s ready for it.
