Rural schools fight to fill seats
As job applications for central North Dakota schools decline, administrators are getting creative in order to ensure spots are filled come August.
“We have been hit significantly with a lack of applicants for open positions the past two cycles of job openings,” Center-Stanton Public School Superintendent Tracy Peterson said.
Located in one of the state’s least populous counties, Center-Stanton has to fight to recruit candidates also being fielded by larger and more urban districts.
