Riverdale hosts Summer Vendor Show

The Riverdale-Pick City Women’s Club’s second annual Summer Vendor Show was Saturday at Misty Square in Riverdale. With the famous Misty the Mermaid in the center, vendors and food trucks set up in the park. Event co-chairs, Brenda Beran and Serina Eisenbraun believe events such as the Summer Vendor Show are important for the community. “ T he town needs something l ike this,” Eisenbraun said. “It hasn’t had anything for a while. Every town has ‘its thing’ and we hope this can be ours.” “ Building our communities is such important work , ” Beran added. “Ou r local communities are so special and I love finding ways to support them.” The idea behind the inaugural Summer Vendor Show was to raise funds to update the city’s meeting room, which is open for various committee meetings and groups.
