Rasmussons’ R & S Oil sells to Rud Oil

R & S Oil, a business that’s been serving Underwood for almost 90 years by the Rasmusson family, has been sold to the Ruds of Rud Oil. The sellers, Hank and Doretta Rasmusson, have been the sole owners of the business since 2002 . Hank has been involved in the business since 1963. Gus and Sharon Rud are owners of Rud Oil and live in Center. The Ruds own and operate the Corner Express and Rud Oil in Center and convenience stores in Stanton and Turtle Lake. G. Rud said he has been talking about the station with Hank for quite some time and understands that it is a big part of the community. “We just understood how good the business was,” G. Rud said. “We hope to maintain and grow on that.” G. Rud said they are looking at adding a bulk route between Underwood and Turtle Lake.
