Primary priorities – pancakes, painting

The civic club plans to mix it up a bit at this year’s pancake appreciation supper, offering sweet potato pancakes as part of the free "thank you" meal for the businesses’ loyal customers.
Sweet potato pancakes have been added to the regular menu of pancakes and sausage for the annual event, set for May 12 at the Underwood City Hall.
Danielle Levey of Levey’s Plumbing and Heating volunteered to help tweak the civic club’s annual appreciation night with a new spin on the traditional pancake, with her sweet potato pancake recipe.
Tonia Taylor, a new member of the civic club representing Underwood Family Garage, will be organizing the event.
Local businesses are encouraged to set up kiosks promoting their businesses, and tables will be available at the city hall.
The annual supper runs from 5-7 p.m.
