Prepare for the ‘Ascent’

Imagine being hunted . . . and you have to band together to survive.
What do you do?
That is the question movie makers Devyn Schmitcke and Mika McConnaughhay ask at the beginning of their short film, "Ascent of the Reapers."
The two Underwood seniors recently teamed up to write, direct and produce their first movie, which will be available for viewing this fall on YouTube.
Written by McConnaughhay and directed and produced by Schmitcke, who owns and operates DMS Studios, "Ascent of the Reapers" was a collaboration that they talked about doing for awhile, but finally made happen.
"We’ve wanted to shoot it for awhile and never got around to it," said McConnaughhay. "I was listening to music one day and was just inspired to write it."
