No, maybe on ordinance change requests

The Underwood City Commission tackled a pair of issues regarding current city ordinances Monday night, opting to NOT amend a current citywide ban on open burning, while continuing to discuss the possibility of amending the city’s ordinance regarding raising chickens within the city limits. A request by Underwood’s Dan Heger to al low open
burning was denied by the commissioners fol lowing brief testimony by Underwood Fire Chief Jesse Carr, and several minutes of discussion between the commissioners
and Heger. Carr noted that recreational fires in town need to be enclosed and have a screen to avoid drifting.
