Turtle Lake’s Melinda Neff will be switching out her welding helmet for a chef’s hat starting Thanksgiving Day as
she and her husband open up Neff Kitchen for its first day of dining.
Turtle Lake’s newest dining option will be located at the American Legion Hall in Turtle Lake, and will be open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
Melinda, who has a degree in Culinary Arts and Restaurant Management from Clark College in Vancouver, Wash., decided to open on Thanksgiving Day to provide a festive dining experience for the locals who might not have elsewhere to go, or who might just be looking for an upscale Thanksgiving dinner without having to leave town.
