Midsummer Classic set for Saturday
Classic car, truck and bike lovers will be converging on Underwood this Saturday as the fourth annual Midsummer Classic gets underway.
There are plenty of events on the schedule for this Saturday’s Classic, but the stars of the day will undoubtedly be the cars, trucks and motorcycles that will be making their way through the parade starting at 12:30 p.m., and then lining the streets of downtown Underwood for the show. The cars will be lining up starting at 11:30 a.m., then making their way through the parade route starting at 12:30 p.m. After that, it’s a day full of activities centered around cars and the folks who love them.
"There’s so much I like about it," said event organizer Deb Hatzenbuhler, when asked what she liked best about the annual event. "Probably . . . I like to see the different cars. That’s what I like to see, and I’m hoping it’s a good car show."
Hatzenbuhler has been keeping an eye on the forecast, and so far there’s only 20 percent chance of rain and temps at about 80 degrees, which is what classic/show car owners are looking for when they’re thinking about entering a show.
