Meet “The Mat Pack”

For the last five years, a dedicated group (that we have monikered “The Mat Pack’) meet twice a week at Trinity Lutheran Church in Turtle Lake.
They aren’t there for the coffee, although that is served at the end of their shift. The Mat Pack are following in Jesus’ footsteps. But instead of turning water in to wine, they turn plastic bags into
mats for homeless people.
The Mat Pack delivers their hand-crafted mats to the Soup Cafe, Ministry on the Margin, and the United Way in Bismarck. Each mat requires at least 2,000 bags and a week to construct.
