McLean County schools adopt ‘Handle with Care’ system for student well-being
In a move designed to improve the mental well-being of the students in the county, McLean County schools have implemented the “Handle with Care” program, a comprehensive approach designed to provide a supportive environment for students dealing with life crises, big or small.
This initiative, as explained by Brooklyn Schaan, the Site Coordinator for Underwood and Wilton-Wing Schools, and Katie Heger, the Elementary Principal for Underwood Schools, focuses on a coordinated response involving educators and law enforcement to ensure students receive the care and attention they need during challenging times.
