City commissioners and members of the Underwood Area Economic Development Corporation, headed by economic developer Tyler Demars, have decided to have a meeting to iron out what the city would like to see from the UAEDC. The idea of a meeting came when Demars made the UAEDC’s budget request at the city commission meeting held the first week of January.
Ross Pickar recently opened Triple-N-Transport in Underwood’s industrial park. The business will now be the central hub of Triple-N-Transport, an anhydrous hauling company, which was originally based in Berthold.
City commissioners are trying to pare down the estimated $4 million cost of a planned flood water project that will take place during the summer.
The Underwood Public School hosted an artist-in-residence, potter Robin Reynolds, for a week. Reynolds worked with each of the different classes at the school, molding and painting their individual clay projects.
