Local businesses robbed

Four area businesses were broken into with cash and some tools stolen on either July 11 or July 12 in the Underwood area. Underwood Farm Supply, R & S Oil, Sodas & Things all in Underwood and Harbor Bar in Coleharbor were all broken into likely July 11 or the early morning of July 12. All businesses reported damaged doors and stolen money when the burglars either pushed or pried the doors open. Hank Rasmusson of R & S Oil said that he lost about $30 to $40 in the break-in and it appears the robbers took nothing else. Rasmusson said the worst part is the cost to replace his door could be upwards of $3,000. The metal door was badly bent from being pried on. At Underwood Farm Supply, cash from the business safe was stolen along with a few small tools. It wasn’t until a customer came in that was interested in the tools that the Cottinghams noticed they were gone.
