Light contest has bright results
By Michael Johnson, Editor
The Underwood Civic Club Christmas Light Contest Spectacular brought out some great light displays around Underwood. From one end to the other, streets are glowing with the grand lights. Some homes are expertly trimmed with straight rope lights. Other homes have herds of reindeer and even a couple moose roving the neighborhoods. Three residents had to be chosen out of the many for their supreme displays. The three that led the way in electrical output for December were awarded $50 in merchant bucks to spend at local businesses this holiday season. The home of PJ and Monty Trondson was selected at the “Best in Show” this year. Their light display covers a half block and literally covers every tree and shrub on the way. It even includes several additional lighted trees and ornaments. Those looking to find this glowing beauty can do so on McKinley Avenue.
