By Michael Johnson, Editor

Shirley Simenson was selected as the voting inspector for the June 8 primary in Underwood. City auditor Diane Schell noted that voting will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. in order to accommodate more workers who are unable to make it in during regular voting hours June 8. Precincts open for voting include Coleharbor city and Coleharbor rural, Underwood city and Underwood rural. The voting will take place in the city hall of both cities. School board elections will be on one half and primary on the other, according to Schell. A variety of positions are open in the Underwood election including all the Park Board positions. There are three positions up for the four-year term including the seats of Alice Landenberger, Holly Dammann and Jamie Auck. Dammann will not be seeking reelection. Landenberger will be running and Auck plans to run as a write-in. There are also two two-year unexpired terms open and Talesa Heger will be running for the one position.
