Is Underwood ready for a new library?
By Michael Johnson, Editor
The Underwood library staff presented their ideas for a possible move to a larger facility on March 4 and residents had mixed feelings about the plan. The library staff has a desire to move out of the City Hall building and into the old flower shop located at 100 Lincoln Ave. in order to have more space for library materials, a teen area, and possibly an area for serving coffee. "The Underwood Library has really grown," Underwood librarian Harmony Higbie said. Higbie presented the library staff’s desire to make the move citing that more space was a big reason for the move. The current space is about 1,340 square feet and the new space offers about 2,640 square feet.
