Insurance agency changes hands
Open house Wednesday for Schlafmann, Nelson
An open house bidding Turtle Lake Insurance’s Paul Schlafmann adieu and thanking him for his service, and welcoming Farmers Union Insurance’s Mike Nelson as a new local agent will be held Wednesday from 1-3:30 p.m. at the Bank of Turtle Lake. Farmers Union Insurance purchased the Turtle Lake insurance agency on July 1, and will now have Nelson serving it s insurance customers. Nelson has 16 years of experience as an insu rance agent with Farmers Union Insurance in Washburn. Nelson plans on continuing the same quality service to customers that Schlafmann has provided for the past several years. “The only thing that will change is who the agent is,” he said.
