Hot dog! Local businesses replace stolen items
What good is a baseball game if spectators can’t have a hotdog while they’re watching the game?
That’s a rhetorical question – everyone knows hotdogs are part of what make baseball games baseball games.
Someone or someones apparently didn’t realize that, or maybe just didn’t care, helping themselves to not only the hot dog grill, but three slow cookers, a microwave, a couple cases of Coke and some chocolate candy bars and chips from the Brekken-Holmes Softball/Baseball complex concessions stand sometime before July 25.
Turtle Lake Park Board President Randy Anderson, who had gone out to do some cleaning at the concessions area at the conclusion of the summer rec program, quickly realized the concessions area had been broken into and several items were missing.
“They took the chocolate bars and chip -- they left all the other candy,” he said with a laugh.
