Horizon program sponsoring free community supper

What could be better - a chance to get together with your friends and neighbors, learn more about your community and enjoy a free supper? Underwood residents will have just such an opportunity on Tuesday, Oct. 28, at 6:30 p.m., when the Horizon’s Program will sponsor a supper at the Underwood City Hall. "The Horizons Program invited us to make an application to them for the program, which we did," said Becky Bowen, Underwood’s Community Developer. "It’s all in conjunction with the development of the strategic plan for the city." Underwood was accepted into the Horizon’s Program, which is an 18-month program, and is now moving forward to implement the initial phases in the community. Bowen said it dove-tails nicely with what was done last spring for the visioning and moving forward with the revitalization of downtown and the city’s growth.
