Help fill the gym with yellow

Suicide hit too close to home in Underwood in recent years. In fact, it’s been a concern in this region for some time that locals want to continue to bring awareness to. The Underwood Comet volleyball team wants you to help them create awareness by coming out in your brightest yellow gear you’ve got, in order to fill the Underwood gym with yellow on Oct. 15. The team will host Turtle Lake in volleyball action and will have several donation opportunities to help raise money for suicide awareness. The volleyball team had a similar campaign last year, where they dressed in pink to raise breast cancer awareness. “We are switching the campaign this year because the girls feel very close to the cause,” head coach Mary Hefta said. “Suicide Awareness is so important, and because the girls have lost friends to suicide, they would like to do something to help.”
