Having trouble finding a job?
By Michael Johnson, Editor
Taking that first step into owning and running your own business can be a frightening idea. Students involved in the entrepreneur class in the county received a little shove from their teachers to help them along and discovered last week that with a little work, owning a business can be fun. That was exposed by Miss North Dakota Brandi Schoenberg, who was one of the judges for the event held on Wednesday. Schoenberg is also the program manager of Innovate North Dakota, a company that acts as a community of coaches, business leaders, investors and mentors for entrepreneurs. If you’ve got a great idea but don’t know how to make it a reality, they can help. Schoenberg sees great ideas everyday, but it is those with passion that make it happen. She visited with each of the groups of students at the McLean County Entrepreneur Expo held in Underwood on Wednesday and gave them tips on what they can do better or what they are doing great.
