In the report from the building and grounds committee, Josh Ruffo stated that the football field to be used for the third game had suffered from the recent excessive rain and had damage from a recent practice.
The coaches and AD’s from Underwood and Turtle Lake, agreed that a different rotation of the fields, with the playoff game in Underwood this year and then three games next year in Turtle Lake, to make up the lost game due to bad weather.
Coach Grant Singer stated the teams were also okay with this and everyone “on the same page.”
He also added that the damage had been incurred in a “walk through” of positions for the team and not an actual practice. “The main concern is injury to the players,” he noted.
Water puddles on the north end had been found when the field was last inspected, cancelling any more use until it had thoroughly dried.
Ruffo also reported that the AC/heating change discussions with an agency had not resulted in any cost under a half-million dollars.
