Equity handles 1.5 million bushels

If things keep progressing this year like they did last year for Turtle Lake’s Equity Elevator, the new 55,000-bushel bins that were just put up last summer will need to be added to.
It wasn’t the elevator’s best year, said Manager Jeramie Love, but it was a really good year. Love updated the shareholders on the elevator’s past year at the June 28 meeting.
“It was one of our better bushel years – we handled about 1.5 million bushels,” said Love. It could have been better had there not been a major hail /wind storm that decimated some area crops last summer.
