Entrepreneur Fair in Underwood
By Michael Johnson, Editor
Entrepreneurs from McLean County made plans to fill the Underwood gym on Wednesday as the Entrepreneur Fair took place from 11 a.m. to noon and 12:30 to 2 p.m. The young men and women involved in the fair had a variety of new businesses including slushies, party planning, power-point presentation making and even mineral right consulting. With students from Underwood, Garrison, White Shield and Washburn it was a full house. Some of the Underwood students visited before the fair and talked about why they started the business they did. It was a stretch for some to think of having their own business. Payton Koenig had her own business, framed closely to her business last year called “Payton’s Presentations.” Her business was to make power-point presentations and Window’s Movie Maker projects for people.
