Election costs may shock voters
By Danielle Abbott, BHG News Service With the upcoming presidential election, many McLean County residents may be thinking about voting. What few people may not recognize is the cost that it requires to set up and carry out a voting facility. During Monday’s County Commission meeting, commissioners discussed the 2008 preliminary election expenses. The total cost of the election was $24,365.46. During the election, a total of 1,307 people voted.
