Dick reflects on election

Underwood Supt. Brandt Dick was upbeat about Tuesday’s election results in which he was defeated by incumbent Kristin Baesler for the position of Supt. of Public Instruction. He knew it was going to be an uphill battle going against a multi-term incumbent.
Dick figures the fact that COVID-19 became a major statewide and national pandemic a couple weeks after he declared his candidacy didn’t help his chances.
“It just added to the whole challenge of trying to keep ‘all the plates spinning’,” said Dick. “It was just a lot. “
