Dick: No positives, no quarantines
Underwood Supt. Brandt Dick was happy to announce to the school board members at Wednesday’s recent meeting that there are currently no COVID-positive students or staff members, and not even any that are under quarantine due to close contact with a COVID-positive person.
“Hopefully we can continue that,” said Dick.
In an effort to continue that trend, the school is offering Binax-NOW testing to staff members, which will be able to identify the coronavirus in asymptomatic people within 15 minutes. He anticipates that teachers who don’t fit into earlier high-risk groups will be able to start getting vaccinations in April.
