DG opens to raves

Underwood’s Dollar Generally quietly opened a little more than a week ago, largely met with praise from local shoppers who walked through the doors, some grabbing one of the bright yellow carts that are a signature of the new store.
The official grand opening has been pushed back to Saturday, Sept. 14, at 8 a.m., but the store is open and serving customers.
“So much variety,” “I didn’t know they’d have so much,” and “It’s so big” are just a few of the comments overheard as shoppers made their way through the aisles in the opening week.
“I love it,” commented Coleharbor’s Charlotte Cleveland, who along with her husband Rick was picking up a few things for a few days at the lake Tuesday morning. “The aisles are nice and wide, you can actually get down them.”
