Development plan agenda item approved

Outside of routine meeting and financial item review and approvals, the main item on the June Turtle Lake City commission meeting was the Comprehensive Plan Development for the City of Turtle Lake.
The contract includes Project Management, Existing Conditions Assessment, Mapping, Land Use Determination, Community Profile, Public Engagement and Project Meetings, Survey for Steering Committee Review, City Meetings, and Outreach for meeting notices (Facebook, Twitter and other available online venues), Land Use Plan, Draft Comprehensive Plan, Implementation Plan, Final Plan, Transportation and Utility Plan, which includes Road Safety assessment and solutions development, Sidewalks and Trails gap analysis, Preliminary Capital Improvements Plan, Downtown/Main Street improvement concepts and follow-up grant opportunities, General sanitary sewer, storm sewer and water utility needs.
City Economic Development Strategy Document and quality of life assets will also be included. Cost: $35,714 with city responsible for 30%.
