Creative new businesses come to Underwood

By Michael Johnson, Editor

Sometimes you just have to use your imagination. That’s just what Underwood High School students are doing to prepare for the annual McLean County Entrepreneur Expo. The expo was held Wednesday at the Underwood High School and featured new business ideas from high school students from Underwood, Washburn, Wilton, White Shield, Max and Garrison. Students at Underwood had their business plans drawn up last week and their ideas were only limited by their creativity. "It’s such a worthwhile opportunity because it’s open to the county," business instructor Julie Driessen said. Though most of the businesses are fictitious, it doesn’t mean they couldn’t be real.
