County moves to cancel contract for culvert project
The contractor awarded the bid for the County Road 20 box culvert project will have the contract revoked after a unanimous vote from the McLean County Commission. The commission will send its recommendation to the state, which administers the funding through the federal government. Quality Dirtworks from Max, N.D. was awarded the project after providing the lowest bid for review. Federaland state funded projects are typically awarded to the lowest bidder. The county has attempted to contact the contractor via email and a certified letter expressing that the application information received was incomplete.
