County leaders uphold April decision to deny Discovery Wind Project
After an almost four-hour-long hearing, McLean County Commissioners opted to uphold their original decision to deny the Discovery Wind Project in the county.
A public hearing took place June 18 during the commissioner’s monthly meeting to hear appeals filed by landowners who objected to the original decision made April 9.
Commissioner Steve Lee made the motion to uphold the county’s original decision, first noting although Discovery Wind did not provide a road plan prior to the April hearing, they later did, which Lee said he was appreciative of.
