Cougars remain unbeaten

The Central McLean Cougars continued their dominant season with a hard-fought 30-16 victory over South Border on Sept. 27, keeping their undefeated streak alive and advancing to 6-0.
However, the win didn’t come easily, as South Border proved to be their toughest challenge since the Cougars’ season opener against Grant County/Flasher, a game they won 20-12.
South Border, known for their physical play, gave the Cougars all they could handle, matching their intensity and forcing the team to dig deep.
The Cougars, however, responded with grit, maintaining composure on both sides of the ball. Central McLean’s defense, which has been a cornerstone of their success this season, held strong against South Border’s offense, while the Cougars’ offense found ways to capitalize on key opportunities.
