Commissioners recognize employee service
By Brenda L. Shelkey
County commissioners had more than one opportunity during the Dec. 9 meeting to show their support and appreciation for the years of work provided by several McLean County employees. Amidst the talk of budgets and other county business, commissioners took a few moments to recognize a job well done. Commissioners stopped in to congratulate County Extension Agent Pat Carpentier during the open house celebrating his 40 years of service to the Extension Office and the thirty-some years he has been working for the McLean County Extension Office. Everyone enjoyed a brief visit, took a look at the new office area the Extension Office is moving into, and sampled the appetizers and cake before returning to their meeting. December is also the time of year for the county to recognize employees with a Certificate of Appreciation. Ron Wagner was recognized for 35 years of service. David Lakoduk, Catherine Bailey and Mary Ann Anderson were recognized for 25 years of service. Karen Jorgenson and Dale Neumiller each had 20 years. Five individuals, Vance Tomlinson, Randy Mautz, Douglas Krebsbach, Mark Koelzer, and Jeff Ekstrom all had 15 years of service to McLean County. Lonna Nelson was recognized for 10 years of service. Alyson Teigen, Curtis Olsen, Elmer Miller, Curt Malo, Noelle Kroll, Ladd Erickson, and Nancy Beckman were recognized for five years of service.
