City reducing number of street lights

Citycommissioners discussed holding an auction of city-owned items that aren’t needed, including the generator and a street sweeper, as well as several other items that are just taking up space in and around the city shop.
The commissioners will look through the building to see what items could be put up for auction this spring. The decision came following the commissioners trying to sell the generator but getting no bids, and looking for other options on how to sell the generator.
Commissioner Zac Heskin updated the commissioners on efforts to put up a crosswalk sign leading from Dollar General to Grimsley’s. He noted that Justin Adolf, owner/operator of Grimsley’s, is open to having a sign on his property – the logistics of what type of sign and where it will go have yet to
be determined.
