Christmas Extravaganza set for tonight
The Vonderheide Gymnasium will be filled with the sounds of sights of Christmas tonight as the Underwood Civic Club presents the Hometown Holiday Extravaganza starting at 7 p.m., in Underwood.
A wide variety of entertainment is on tap this year, the community choir singing a selection of popular Christmas favorites, the Underwood Just for Kix dancers, some individual vocal performances, an instrumental performance, as well as a special holiday performance by local comedian, The Idiot On the Prairie, Diane Eslinger.
A special dance group, Santa’s Babies, are also scheduled to appear, and folks can expect there to be a little audience participation involved with this year’s program.
"We really tried to get a variety of entertainment this year," said event organizer, Suzanne Werre.
The choir features several well-known singers who have been in the choir in the past, but there are also some new faces in the mix.
