Check out the businesses as you Go Loco

The upcoming Go Loco for Local promotion isn’t meant to be a quick dine and dash where folks grab a quick taste of each chili and head out the door.
The event is meant to have folks not only come in the door to check out the atmosphere and the chili, but to check out what the businesses have to offer.
"It’s to promote local shopping," said Jane Rademacher of Sodas and Things, and one of the event’s organizers. "We want people to look around see what the stores have to offer."
Undoubtedly, though, the chili cook-off is a highlight of the evening. Businesses will be serving up their best and potentially unusual chili offerings, with many of the employees dressing in costumes and businesses decorated to fit a theme, as they vie for the "best experience" votes as well.
Votes will be tallied at the Underwood City Hall at 7:30 p.m.
The Go Loco event will run from 5-7:30 p.m., Friday, Oct. 16, wrapping up with awards and bingo from 7:30-8:30 p.m. at the Underwood City Hall.
