Board approves bus lease

The Cougars will be riding in style starting this fall following the approval by the Underwood School Board to go in on the leasing of a new activity bus for the Central McLean Cougars co-op.
The boards of the three schools involved in the co-op, Underwood, Turtle Lake- Mercer and McClusky, have all approved going with a three-year lease of a new bus rather than purchasing a new bus. After the three years, the schools will have the option of purchasing the bus, or entering into a new lease, or the schools could opt to go in a different direction altogether.
The cost of the lease will be about $12,000 per year to the Turtle Lake-Mercer and Underwood Schools, and McClusky’s about $7000.
