Binkley retiring after ‘getting after them’

Fifteen years just seemed like a good number.
It’s been 15 years since Judy Binkley was hired to be the Underwood high school secretary.
Judy actually turned 65 last year, so people started asking then her if she was going to retire – but she just wasn’t ready yet.
She’s ready now, anticipating June 4 to be her last day as the high school secretary.
It’s been a great 15 years, says Judy (or "Mrs. Binkley" – whatever the student was more comfortable with).
It was the fall of 2000, shortly after her husband Dave’s death, that Judy was encouraged to apply for the job. She was hired by then-superintendent Ken Hart.
