Anxiously awaiting the MidSummer Classic

Underwood’s Dawn Helmer will be the Parade Marshall at this year’s MidSummer Classic, after being named the winner of the group’s annual $500 scholarship.
The MidSummer Classic Car /Bike Show is set for Saturday, June 27, with the parade kicking off a day full of events starting at 12:30 p.m.
Deb Hatzenbuhler, one of the event’s organizers, says that after last year’s rain-out, it seems like people are especially ready for this year’s show.
"They’re anxious for it," said Hatzenbuhler. "Registrations are coming in.
"Usually about this time we have only three or four entries because everybody waits to see what the weather does, and this year for whatever reason, they’re coming in early."
Hatzenbuhler says the goal of the group is to get 100 entries in the show, but if they get 80, it will be an excellent show.
